The Siberian tiger is the largest cat in the world. It averages about 3.3 m (11 ft.) in length, with a tail measuring 1 m (3 ft.). Adult male tigers can weigh up to 320 kg (700 lb.), while female tigers are significantly smaller, weighing up to 180 kg (400 lb.). It is estimated the wild population of Siberian tigers at around 350-450 tigers. They are endangered because people hunt them, and they are wrecking their habitat. They can live in any climate if they have shade, water and prey. You can find them in Malaya, India and Manachuria. They also live in oak woods, marshes, and grass lands. Lots of tigers live in zoos. A lot of the zoos have breeding programs, and many are born in captivity. The Amut tiger cubs at pictures are playing together.
