The Concorde was truly an amazing aircraft. Anglo-French government Concorde was a turbojet-powered supersonic passenger airliner. It combined the manufacturing efforts of AĆ©rospatiale and the British Aircraft Corporation. A total of 20 Concordes were built between 1966 and 1979, and 14 of these were passenger models that entered airline service. A flight from London to New York cost about $30,000 for one person. Average flight time was about 3 hours and 20 minutes Concorde completed its last commercial passenger flight on October 24, 2003, ending three decades of supersonic travel. The main causes of Concorde’s retirement was the Concorde crash which killed all of the passengers and The Airlines were not making back the money spent on the safety modifications and other upgrades.
