Malahide Castle is one of tourist attractions in Ireland. Set in 250 acres of park land in the pretty seaside town of Malahide. It spent almost eight hundred years serving as a fortress and private home to the Talbot family, till the last of the Lords Talbot passed away in 1973. It was a remarkable tenure by a single family and, is one of the longest in Ireland. The Castle and grounds are now operated by Dublin Tourism in conjunction with Fingal County Council.
