Catamarans are designed to leisure and sport sailing. A catamaran is a type ship consisting of two hulls, or vakas, joined by some structure, the most basic being a frame, formed of akas. Its 2 hulls reduce drag on the water, giving the boat more velocity. A catamaran sailing boat is more stable than other types.
