In 1928, the Canfranc International Railway Station was the biggest rail station in Europe, and was the centerpiece of a railway between France and Spain. The mountainous line, with its complex passage of tunnels, bridges and viaducts, took 24 years to build, but after a chequered history which saw it commandeered by the Nazis during the Second World War, Canfranc International Railway Station has slowly slipped into disrepair and is now little more than a crumbling shell.

The Atocha Train station is the largest railway station in Spain. It includes a botanical garden spread over an area of 4,000 square meter under the arched skylight. A garden was designed to keep tropical species, plants and fauna. Over 7,000 plants live inside the station, and many of them are palm trees. This indoor tropical jungle was inaugurated in 1992.

Grand Central Terminal is located at 42nd Street and Park Avenue in Midtown Manhattan in New York City. Grand Central Terminal is often called Grand Central Station or GCT. It was constructed from 1903 to 1913 on the site of an older Grand Central Depot, which was replaced in gradual steps. Surrounded by skyscrapers, Grand Central ranks as one of America’s most beautiful stations. It is the longest train station in the world, with 44 platforms and 67 tracks, divided between two underground levels.
