The Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana houses one of the world’s largest collections of North American dinosaur fossils, curated by John R. Jack Horner. Museum at Montana State University is a Smithsonian Affiliate and is recognized as one of the world’s finest research and history museums. Research here is focused on paleohistology; the study of the microscopic structure of fossil specimens, which allows for a deeper exploration into dinosaur growth, physiology and behavior.

The Smithsonian American Art Museum is a museum located in Washington, D.C.. This museum shares the building with the National Portrait Gallery. The building itself is fabulous and has a long history. The Robert and Arlene Kogod Courtyard, with its elegant glass canopy, was designed by the world-renowned architectural firm Foster & Partners. This is a huge building, prepare for miles of walking through many galleries, so take comfortable shoes. Visitors are allowed to take photographs.
