Vatnajökull is not only the biggest glacier in Iceland but in the whole of Europe. It covers over 8100 km2 and has around 30 outlet glaciers. Vatnajökull National Park was founded in 2008 on the foundation of Skaftafell National Park and Jökulsárgljúfur reserve. The National Park is the largest protected area in Europe. For those looking for a shorter but stunning guided walk, this is a fantastic introduction to the unique world of glaciers. The easiest way to access it is via Skaftafell, which is also a part of the larger Vatnajökull National Park. From Reykjavik, follow route 1 along the south coast for approximately 320 km, until you see a sign for Skaftafell National Park, where you will make a left turn. The journey will take around 4 hours in favourable conditions.

Grand Haven is a city located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Grand River, for which it is named. The Grand Haven Lighthouses were built in 1839 on the south pier, to mark the most navigable channel into the river. The current lighthouses, painted red, were built in 1875 and 1905. They are connected by a lighted catwalk, which runs along the pier to the shore. The Grand Haven pier is a popular spot for fishing and catching the sunset.

The Icehotel is a hotel built each year with snow and ice in the village of Jukkasjärvi, in northern Sweden, about 17 kilometres from Kiruna. It is the world\’s first ice hotel. It is world-famous hotel created every year. Beginning work in October the Icehotel is ready for its first guests in December. The hotel’s public areas, including the Ice Bar and ice pillared hallway, are illuminated by dazzling ice sculptures and spectacular ice-carved chandeliers, This year will celebrate the 25th Icehotel in Swedish Lapland.

Snow and ice sculptures was taken at the 29th Harbin International Ice and Snow Festival in Harbin, capital of northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province. It is one of world’s four largest international ice festivals, along with Japan’s Sapporo Snow Festival, Canada’s Quebec Winter Carnival, and Norway’s Ski Festival. It is home to massive ice sculptures that have been created for a special winter festival that attracts millions of visitors every year.

Every year, Sweden’s Ice Hotel is built from the scratch, because old one melted in the last Spring. So every year the construction and design is complete new. The Ice Hotel is situated near of the Torne River, which gives the builders good water resource for their ice material.

It is situated in the old village called Jukkasjärvi in Swedish Lapland.
Combination of 10 000 tons of crystal clear ice with 30 000 tons of pure snow creates this wonderful buildings with bedroom, hall, cinema and of course bar.
