Zoo Bojnice is the oldest and the most visited zoological garden in Slovakia. It was opened for the public on 1stApril 1955. It covers an area of 41 hectares. The National Zoo Bojnice presents its unique collection of animals from the entire world, consisting of more than 430 species with the total number of more than 3500 animals.

Dale Chihuly is one of the world’s most prolific blown-glass artists and now you can view some of his most exquisite sculptures in a setting that is equally as spectacular as his works. Located adjacent to the Space Needle at Seattle Center, Chihuly Garden and Glass features an eight-room Exhibition hall where you can learn about Chihuly’s artistic process and his inspirations. Enter the 40-foot tall glass and steel Glasshouse, the centerpiece of Chihuly Garden and Glass and home to an expansive 100-foot long sculpture in a color palette of reds, oranges, yellows and amber.

The Keukenhof Gardens provide visitors view at 7 million flower bulbs bloom over 32 hectares. Gardens near Lisse is the world’s largest flower garden park. It is an easy day trip from Amsterdam. It is open only two months in spring each year to show off the best of Dutch tulips, crocuses, narcissus. The main attraction of Keukenhof is obviously the flowers but the park is truly a destination for visitors of all ages. Small children will enjoy the various playgrounds while a full-scale windmill, public art and performances, as well as special displays add further entertainment to visitors of all ages.

The Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is a botanical garden located at 1800 Lakeside Avenue, on the North Side of Richmond, Virginia. The New York Botanical Garden’s annual Orchid Show never fails to disappoint, and this year’s show is no exception. The visual style is deliberate. “Orchidelirium” harks back to the era when orchid mania swept Victorian England with such intensity that it required a new word to describe it. The spectacular centerpiece of the show, above, is a “mountain” of volcanic rock and orchids built over a cleverly-hidden structure of steel and chicken wire.

The Jardin de Balata is a private botanical garden located on the Route de Balata about 10 km outside of Fort-de-France, Martinique, France. One of Martinique’s best attractions is open daily. It is home to a staggering number of begonias, bromeliads, bamboo and about 300 different types of palm trees. Free-flying hummingbirds are often sighted. A suspended rope bridge and walkways provide a birds-eye view of the landscaped grounds below.

Hidcote Manor in the Cotswolds has one of the most beautiful and famous gardens in the world. Hidcote gardens cover 10.5 acres of gently sloping ground. Hedges mainly composed of holly, beech, and yew are used to define a series of garden rooms planted with uniquely different species. Major Johnson began his remarkable gardens at Hidcote in 1907, and continued expanding and improving the site over the course of the next 40 years. The garden is famous for rare shrubs and trees as well as its outstanding design features.

Keukenhof is the place to celebrate Easter. The park is unique, world famous for spring blossoms. This place has been one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands for sixty years. At over 70 acres, you could easily spend more than one day, especially if you are manic about flowers. According to the official website, 7 million flowers are planted here each year.

It is located in the Shanghai old city, a few blocks south of the Bund, Yuyuan Garden is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens. The inner and outer gardens were both built in the Ming Dynasty (more than 400 years ago) classical style, with numerous rock and tree garden areas, ponds, dragon-lined walls and zigzagging bridges separating various garden areas and pavilions. Yuyuan Garden was first established by a mandarin named Pan yunduan who used to be the governor of Sichuan and later expanded greatly. The garden today is a veritable jungle of architectural structures, where the forms of artificial hills are reflected in the ponds, and the entire place is hidden in the rich verdure of trees and plants.
